Have you been interested in making chocolate, confections, candy and more? We are looking for a motivated person to teach how to temper and mold chocolates, make ganache, learn to cut and prep confections for hand dipping and more. Our head chocolatier, Michael, with a background in education has always loved the opportunity to teach people how to make delicious, beautiful hand crafted chocolates.
If you are currently a student and require internship hours, we will work with you and your program to ensure this meets the qualifications.
Internship responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Molding chocolate novelties
Cleaning and prepping molds for use
Packing candy and chocolates after dipping for sale
Working with the JoMart team to ensure the front and back of house are updated on inventory and status or orders
Assisting in prepping ingredients for making caramel, marshmallow, marzipan and more confections
Qualifications:
Knowledge of food safety protocols and experience in a clean working environment
Creativity and skill in developing new confectionery products
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Punctuality, reliability, and excellent time management skills
