About Elephant
At Elephant, we keep things simple, done brilliantly. By day, we serve some of the best coffee, bagels and pastries in Cheshire. By night, we switch gears — homemade NYC-style pizza, draught beer, cocktails, proper tunes, and a whole lot of atmosphere.
Our shops are busy, buzzy, and beautifully run — and that doesn’t happen by accident. We’re looking for a natural leader to take charge of our evenings and help us keep the good times (and perfect pizza) rolling.
This is a role for someone who thrives once the dinner crowd starts rolling in. You’ll be running the floor, keeping service sharp, guests happy, and the team on point from late afternoon through close. You’ve got experience under your belt — ideally 3+ years in hospitality — and you know exactly how to lead by example.
Whether it’s a packed house on a Friday night or a slower midweek service, you’re calm, collected, and always two steps ahead. You’ve got a good head for detail, a great sense of humour, and you genuinely love making the evening shift feel like the best part of someone’s day.
Leading the evening shift with confidence, warmth and zero faff
Keeping service smooth and speedy whether it's coffees, cocktails or pizza
Supporting your team through the busiest hours — coaching, motivating, and jumping on wherever needed
Managing the close — tills, cleaning, stock checks, locking up — like a total pro
Handling customer issues with grace and quick thinking
Working closely with the ops and marketing teams to boost sales, footfall, and build loyal evening regulars
Setting the tone: chilled, confident, professional (but never boring)
You've got 3+ years of experience in hospitality.
You’re a natural leader, not a shouty one — you guide, support, and raise the bar
You love creating a great vibe and a properly smooth service
You're confident with stock, cash handling, closing duties and systems
You’re calm under pressure and always thinking ahead
You’re happy leading a team solo and you’ve got a strong sense of ownership
You’re up for weekends and holidays — because let’s be honest, that’s when the action happens
Full-time role: 35+ hours/week
Shifts run between the hours of 3pm to 11pm to suit you.
Must be available to work two of our peak days Friday, Saturday and Sunday and holidays
Bi-weekly pay + pension scheme
Full training & development (we want you to grow with us)
Staff food & drink on shift (yes, pizza included)
40% off food & drink when you're off the clock
Real career progression — we promote from within wherever possible
