This is a full-time role for a Chocolatier, located on-site at our Brooklyn, NY factory. The Chocolatier will be responsible for creating and handcrafting various chocolate confections. Day-to-day tasks include tempering chocolate, creating ganache, molding and dipping chocolates, and ensuring that all products meet JoMart Chocolates' high standards of quality. The chocolatier will assist the owner and head chocolatier with candy-making as well as helping to fulfill orders. This role will assist the team to create a beautiful and delicious product, ensure quality, and help with our wholesale a well as brick and mortar store orders. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean work environment, following food safety protocols, and assisting with new product development.
Qualifications
Chocolate crafting and tempering skills
Knowledge of food safety protocols and experience in a clean working environment
Creativity and skill in developing new confectionery products
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Punctuality, reliability, and excellent time management skills
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
